The buttons were postioned like this, with a gap below it so that when the mouse rolled over them the button lumped down and changed colour to this:
The comments i got back at the crit were that this movement confused the person using the website as they weren't sure whether they had to follow the button down and click on the new purple button. This wasn't the case as you could just click where the original black button was but this just added extra unnecessary confusion.
So I changed all the buttons so that they are just like normal rollovers that change colour and dont move across the screen. I think that I was just trying to make the website more interesting by adding some movement, but this goes against the whole idea of keeping it as simple as possible.
